What is the Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP)?

What is the Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP)?
The Loyalty Rewards Program rewards you for on-going loyalty when you make regular monthly purchases. The program allows you to earn product credits that can be used towards purchases of products. By creating an automatic monthly order, you receive many benefits, including earning other bonuses in the compensation plan. You can customize each order and the date it processes through your Virtual Office by going to the shop tab.

Learn more by watch this video

Key concepts to understand:
  • PV (Product Value): The amount of  product in an item or order. This value is used as a measurement to earn points, commissions, promotions, and free product of the month. A product's PV is not always the same as the cost.
  • Points: free product purchase credits (1point=$1).
  • LRP points (Loyalty Rewards Program Points): Your current LRP percentage of the PV total, from your order, will determine the amount of LRP points you will earn from that order. The percentage of points you earn increases every month that you make a qualifying order.
  • SRP points (Shipping Rewards Program Points): You may earn 100% of the shipping cost worth in points if you place an LRP order online, OR you may earn 50% of the shipping cost worth in points if you call in to place an LRP order or if you place a standard order online.
  • Cost: The actual dollar amount for the item/order.

Reasons Why You Should Set Up LRP Orders:
  • Earn a percent back – Depending on the enrollment kit you start out with, signing up with the LRP program means you will receive at least 10% back on your LRP orders. The longer you participate in the program, the bigger percent you get back on your purchases until you reach 30% after a year.
  • Earn LRP points and Free Products – The percent you earn back through ordering through the LRP program is added to your account through product credits. You can use these points to purchase free products. You also earn points on your shipping costs!
  • Free Product of the Month (POM) – If your monthly LRP is set to have at least a 125PV, you receive a free product with your LRP order. This POM changes from month to month. REMINDER: Your LRP automatic order must be processed before the 15th to receive the POM.
  • Earn Power of 3 and Fast Start bonuses – To qualify to earn the Power of 3 Bonus and Fast Start, you must have at least a 100PV order each month. If you are active in the business in sharing, enrolling, and building these bonuses only help you continue to build your business – and having the automatic LRP order set up means you are also getting back some of what you have put in (in free product).

Getting started on the Loyalty Rewards Program:
  • Create your Loyalty Reward Order: Simply set up your Loyalty Rewards Order by logging into your Online Account and creating a Loyalty Rewards Order.
  • Earn a FREE Product of the Month simply by:
    • Creating a Loyalty Rewards Order that totals 125 Points Value (PV) or more and
    • Setting the date for your Loyalty Rewards Order to be shipped on or before the 15th of every month.
  • Convenience to change your Loyalty Reward Order every month before the shipping date. Don’t want to receive the same products as last month? Simply login to your Online Account and edit your Loyalty Rewards Order for the month. You can do this every month!
  • Earning points with Loyalty Rewards Order purchases. Every product has a Points Value (PV), a retail dollar value and a wholesale membership dollar value (e.g. Lavender 15 mL (Retail $28 | Wholesale $21 | 21 PV). Loyalty Rewards Product Credits are calculated based on Points Value.
  • To redeem your earned Product Credits towards a purchase of your favorite products: Simply login to your VO to redeem them online or contact Member Service.

  • Freedom to change your LRP order up to your monthly ship date

Essential Oils for Thyroid Support

Essential Oils for Thyroid Support

Therapeutic-grade oils are specially distilled from plants cultivated organically or grown wild in a clean environment. Pharmaceuticals have their place, and many who need thyroid support need to be on medications, but there are also natural options to consider.

Essential oils help keep the body in homeostasis and work towards restoring and maintaining balance. I think we can agree that all of us who need thyroid support could use a bit more balance in our lives!

Here are some essential oils for thyroid support:

Clove Oil – this oil has an antioxidant (ORAC) score of over 1,000,000! It should be an oil you should consider for supporting your entire body. Clove is also high in phenols (about 80%). “Phenols clean the receptor sites of the cells. Without clean receptor sites, cells cannot communicate and the body malfunctions, resulting in sickness.” – Dr. David Stewart

Frankincense Oil – frankincense is the mother of all oils (king of oils) and it’s wonderful for healthy cell support. Frankincense is high in Monoterpenes which help reprogram miswritten information in cellular memory.

Myrrh Oil – this oil has been used for thousands of years and can help reduce stress, support an underactive thyroid, and help reduce inflammation. Myrrh is rich in Sesquiterpenes (around 60%) which can help “erase or deprogram miswritten codes in cellular memory”.

Lemongrass Oil – this is a great oil to use to support the thyroid – again, helping the body achieve balance.

Basil – basil is another oil that helps reduce inflammation and also helps support the adrenal glands. Thyroid issues and adrenal issues usually go hand-in-hand, so it’s a good idea to use this oil on a regular basis to support the adrenal glands.

Peppermint – peppermint can help you feel more alert, and support the body when it feels fatigued. It also helps support the thyroid.

Marjoram – marjoram supports the spleen. The spleen is an important organ in the immune system, producing the white blood cells that fight infection and synthesize antibodies. This oil could be a good oil to help support healthy antibody levels.

Here are some ways to use these oils for thyroid support:

  • Rub a drop of myrrh oil over thyroid area each day. The smell is a bit strong, but it wears off quickly.
  • A drop or two basil oil rubbed on the adrenals each morning is a great way to support the system! The adrenal glands are located on either side of your back, just below each rib cage.
  • A drop or two of marjoram can be rubbed over the spleen for antibody support.

Fill a 15 ml rollerball with this blend:

30 drops frankincense
30 drops clove
30 drops myrrh
30 drops lemongrass
30 drops basil

Top off the roller ball with fractionated coconut oil (this kind of coconut oil soaks into the skin quickly and stays liquid at colder temperatures).

Use: Apply topically over thyroid area at the base of the neck and reflexology points (big toe), massage in 3x daily.

Purchase essential oils here.

For more information about essential oil uses, check out this page.

Note: These essential oils protocols are not meant to replace your thyroid medication. The hope is that essential oils will help in balancing your hormones and helping you to live well despite your condition. If you’re currently on medication for hypothyroid, don’t go off it without consulting with your doctor first.

Does Your Head Hurt? | Support from Essential Oils

Does your head hurt? Do you carry around a bottle of pain reliver at all times?

Headaches are common and can stem from a variety of causes. May seek treatment on a daily basis from synthetics from a bottle.  Fortunately, there are several home-remedy treatments that help!
Try these essential oils to help relieve head and neck tension and discomfort – the natural way!

Essential Oils to Consider

Eucalyptus trees are tall, evergreen trees that grow up to 50 feet in height and are sometimes referred to as Gum Trees. The main chemical components of Eucalyptus radiata are eucalyptol and alpha-terpineol, making it an ideal oil to promote feelings of clear breathing and open airways and for creating a soothing massage experience.  Studies have shown that Eucalyptus is effective in helping lessen tension.

Lavender has been used and cherished for centuries for its unmistakable aroma and myriad benefits. In ancient times, the Egyptians and Romans used Lavender for bathing, relaxation, cooking, and as a perfume; it is widely used for its calming and relaxing qualities which continue to be Lavender’s most notable qualities. Add to bath water to soak away stress or apply to the temples and the back of the neck. Add a few drops of Lavender to pillows, bedding, or bottoms of feet to promote a restful night’s sleep. Due to Lavender’s versatile properties, it is considered the must-have oil to have on hand at all times.

Roman Chamomile
Roman Chamomile grows close to the ground, reaching only up to a foot in height. It has gray-green leaves, flowers that resemble a daisy, and smells like apple. The plant has been nicknamed the “plant’s physician” because it has positive effects on plants growing nearby. Ancient Romans used the oil for courage during war. While the most common use of chamomile is in teas, Roman Chamomile can also be found in face creams, drinks, hair dyes, shampoos, and perfumes. Roman Chamomile has a calming effect on the skin, mind, and body. It soothes body systems.

The peppermint plant is a hybrid of watermint and spearmint and was first described by Carl Linneaus in 1753. A high menthol content—like that found in the dōTERRA Peppermint essential oil—distinguishes the best quality Peppermint from other products. Frequently used in toothpaste and chewing gum for oral health, Peppermint also helps to alleviate occasional stomach upset and promotes healthy respiratory function. Peppermint Essential Oil contains a significant amount of menthol. Amongst its many uses, menthol is known to help relax and ease tension headaches and muscular aches and pains. Peppermint Oil is quite stimulating and may interfere with sleeping.

Spearmint is a perennial plant that grows 11–40 inches tall and flourishes in temperate climates. It is widely used in gums, candies, and dental products for its minty taste, and to promote fresh breath. Spearmint has been used for centuries for its digestive benefits. Its sweet, refreshing aroma is cleansing and uplifting, making it ideal to evoke a sense of focus and positive mood. Spearmint is very different from Peppermint, making it a milder option to use on children and those with sensitive skin. In cooking, Spearmint is frequently used in salads, drinks, and desserts, but it can also be used in homemade salad dressings and to marinate meats. Like peppermint, but it contains significantly more menthol.

Helichrysum italicum is a small perennial herb with narrow, silver leaves and flowers that form a cluster of golden yellow, ball-shaped blossoms. The name “Helichrysum” is derived from the Greek “helios” meaning sun and “chrysos” meaning gold, referring to the color of the flowers. Helichrysum has been used in herbal health practices since ancient Greece and the oil is highly valued and sought after for its many health benefits. Helichrysum is best known for its restorative properties to the skin. Also referred to as the Everlasting or Immortal Flower, Helichrysum is used in anti-aging products for its rejuvenating benefits to the skin. Helichrysum can help reduce the appearance of blemishes, and it promotes a glowing, youthful complexion. Massage into the temples and back of neck for a soothing sensation.

How to Use Essential Oils

There are several ways you can use the above essential oils to help alleviate head tension. Experience the different ways to see what works best for you.

Topical Application

With essential oils, using less is safer and can often be more effective than using more. Remember to always dilute essential oils in carrier oil before applying them to your skin or scalp.

Basic Massage Recipe:

  • 9 mL Carrier Oil (example: fractionated coconut oil or jojoba)
  • 10-12 drops of your chosen essential oils from the above list of essential oils (If using Eucalyptus, Peppermint or Spearmint Essential Oil, use only 6-8 drops)
  • 10 mL rollerball

Directions: Combine the carrier oil and essential oils into the bottle and gently roll the bottle between your hands to mix.

To Use: Roll blend on forehead, back of neck and temples. Don’t forget your feet!

Rollerball blends to try:
Blend #1: 8 Drops Lavender Oil, 4 Drops Roman Chamomile, 1 oz. Carrier Oil
Blend #2: 4 Drops Spearmint Essential Oil, 4 Drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil, 1 oz. Carrier Oil
Blend #3: 4 Drops Helichrysum Essential Oil, 8 Drops Roman Chamomile, 1 oz. Carrier Oil
Blend #4: 4 Drops Spearmint Essential Oil, 8 Drops Lavender Essential Oil, 1 oz. Carrier Oil

There are many different avenues to try for aromatherapy.

Place 1-3 drops of your oil blend on either a small cotton ball or tissue and inhale slowly.

Select one or more of the above listed essential oils and add several drops to your diffuser by following the manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure to use Peppermint Essential Oil sparingly as its aroma is incredibly strong. Spearmint Essential Oil is also rather strong, but it's typically not as tenacious as Peppermint Essential Oil.
